Organs Controlled by the Thoracic Nerves

The central nervous system controls all organs and functions in your body. When there is a misalignment in your spine, the nervous system may become compromised, causing a vertebral subluxation. The areas (organs and functions) of the body affected by the vertebral subluxation may malfunction. Specific symptoms may signal that this malfunction is present.

Here are the areas of the body that are controlled by the nerves stemming from between each vertebra in the thoracic (mid back) spine, and the related symptoms that may be experienced due to a vertebral subluxation in that area:

Vertebra Areas/Organs Affected Possible Symptoms Indicating Subluxation

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Frederick chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
